Globe Investimentos completes acquisition of Avibras Aeroco and Bruno Dantas takes over as executive chairman of the defence technology company’s board

Under the control of the family office of businessmen Joesley and Wesley Batista and under Dantas’s leadership, the business plan aims to accelerate the resumption of production with a focus on exports

São Paulo, 15 October 2026 - Globe Investimentos, the personal investment holding company of businessmen Joesley and Wesley Batista, has completed the acquisition of the entire share capital of Avibras Aeroco, which comprises the strategic assets, industrial facilities and technology portfolio of Avibras Indústria Aeroespacial.

Globe now becomes the sole shareholder of Nova AVB, which holds all the shares in Avibras Aeroco, maintaining 100 per cent Brazilian control of the company. The completion of the transaction will enable the company to resume production on a large scale, honour its commitments and return to growth in the domestic market and, in particular, abroad.

“Avibras is part of Brazil’s technological and industrial heritage, and will once again supply technology and equipment to the whole world thanks to the dedication of engineers and technicians who have preserved the company’s expertise during its most difficult years,” says Bruno Dantas, who takes up the position of Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors at Avibras Aeroco.

In this role, Dantas’s mission is to support the rebuilding of the company’s industrial capacity and to lead its international expansion, opening up new markets for defence products and technology developed in Brazil — making exports the main driver of growth for Avibras Aeroco.

Dantas’s track record in external oversight of public administration and at the helm of international audit bodies will help to build relationships of trust with national governments, which are the sole buyers in the defence market. The executive and lawyer chaired the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), which brings together government audit institutions from over 190 countries, and was the first Brazilian in more than seven decades to be elected by the United Nations General Assembly to its Board of Auditors.

“This transaction preserves much more than just Avibras’ technologies and facilities. It safeguards the experience, knowledge and dedication accumulated since 1961 by a highly skilled workforce, which will continue to be fundamental to the company’s success,” says Sami Hassuani, chairman of Avibras Aeroco.
