Avibras Aeroco hosts an exercise by the Airmobile Infantry Brigade aimed at protecting strategic national defence assets

Avibras Aeroco’s Jacareí (SP) facility hosted the training exercise on 22 and 23 October, conducted by the Airmobile Infantry Brigade (Bda Inf Amv), subordinate to the 2nd Army Division of the Brazilian Army (EB). The aim was to enhance operational readiness, command and control procedures, and the capacity to plan and deploy troops to protect assets of national defence interest.

The activity forms part of the Land Force’s preparation efforts to maintain troops at a high level of readiness, with mobility and the capacity to respond immediately to potential threats to facilities and assets relevant to national defence.

The exercise enables participants to deepen their understanding of the characteristics and specific features of these facilities, practise the coordination and deployment of military units, and verify the procedures necessary to ensure the continuity of operations, thereby contributing to the enhancement of the capacity to protect assets of defence interest.

The fact that the exercise took place at Avibras Aeroco’s facilities underscores the importance of integration between the Brazilian Army and the Defence Industrial Base (BID), helping to strengthen the operational capabilities of the Land Forces and to protect facilities and assets essential to National Defence.
