Commander of the Brazilian Army visits Avibras Aeroco in Jacareí

On Wednesday, 1 July, Avibras Aeroco welcomed an official visit to its industrial site in Jacareí (SP) from Lieutenant General Tomas Miguel Miné Ribeiro Paiva, Commander of the Brazilian Army, accompanied by members of the Army’s High Command.

The visit comes at an important time for the company, which has commenced its Manufacturing operations, thereby strengthening its capacity to support the country’s strategic defence programmes. The agenda also provided an overview of the company’s industrial and technological facilities, its production processes, and the activities currently underway to meet the Land Forces’ requirements.

The delegation also included Lieutenant General Ricardo Piai Carmona, Military Commander of the South-East; Major General Everton Pacheco da Silva, Head of the Army Projects Office (EPEx); Major General Erb Lyra Leal, Head of the Planning and Management Office of the Department of Science and Technology (DCT); Major General Marcelo Lorenzi Zucco, Commander of the 2nd Army Division; and Brigadier General Evandro Luís Amorim Rocha, Commander of the Army Aviation (CAvEx).

The visit strengthens the relationship between Avibras Aeroco and the Brazilian Army, characterised by cooperation on projects of interest to National Defence and by a commitment to delivering products and solutions that contribute to strengthening the country’s defence industrial base.

For the chairman of Avibras Aeroco, Sami Hassuani, the visit by the Commander of the Brazilian Army represents an important demonstration of confidence in the company’s ability to meet the strategic demands of National Defence. “We have been working hard and with dedication to fulfil our commitments and strengthen the Brazilian defence industry, reinforcing our solid partnership with the Army,” he emphasised.
