On Thursday, 17 September, the engineering team at Avibras Aeroco took part in a Digital Engineering Workshop organised by Siemens to discuss opportunities, challenges, and solutions for expanding the use of digital engineering tools and concepts.
The initiative reinforces the company’s commitment to innovation and to developing skills in line with the industry’s new demands. For engineer Rogério Vilela Goulart, Manager of Mechanical Product Development Engineering at Avibras Aeroco, it was a very positive opportunity to update knowledge, exchange experiences and broaden the teams’ understanding of the technological solutions available for aerospace and defence engineering.
“Keeping up to date with technology and strengthening our engineering capabilities are essential for us to improve our processes continually, expand the use of virtual validation and make the use of prototypes and testing more efficient, ensuring we are increasingly well-prepared for the challenges of Avibras Aeroco’s current and future programmes,” emphasised Rogério.
During the event, concepts, technologies and initiatives that contribute to the modernisation of engineering processes were presented. Among the topics covered were: simulation, product lifecycle management (PLM), artificial intelligence, data integration, traceability, etc.
