On 25 September, Alex Nunes, Sales Director at Avibras Aeroco, received the ‘Friend of the 6th Missile and Rocket Group’ (6th GMF) Diploma, an honour awarded to civilian and military figures who have made a significant contribution to the various activities carried out by the Group.
The commander of the 6th GMF, Lieutenant-Colonel (Artillery) Leandro Rodriguez Caldas, presented the award during a ceremony marking the 22nd anniversary of the Group’s establishment, held at Forte Santa Bárbara in Formosa (GO).
The 6th GMF forms part of the Brazilian Army’s Missile and Rocket Artillery. Established in 2004 after the reorganisation of what was then the 6th Multiple Rocket Launcher Group and Formosa Training Ground, the Group operates and maintains rocket and missile launch capabilities, primarily through the ASTROS System, designed and developed by Avibras Aeroco.
Avibras Aeroco congratulates Alex Nunes on this significant honour and the 6th Missile and Rocket Group on its 22-year history. The company is proud to be part of this history and to have contributed, over the years, to the development and strengthening of the Brazilian Army’s missile and rocket artillery capabilities.
