Between 22 and 25 September, Avibras Aeroco took part in the Expeditionary Defence Exhibition, part of Operation Formosa 2026, a joint exercise by the Brazilian Armed Forces involving the Brazilian Navy, Army, and Air Force. Held in Formosa (Goiás), the event brought together around 2,500 military personnel, the majority of whom were members of the Fleet Marine Corps.
The operation also involved troops from the United States, France and Paraguay, promoting integration and exchange between the participating forces.
During the exhibition, Avibras Aeroco presented its products and technological solutions to civilian and military authorities, including admirals, representatives from the Ministry of Defence, foreign delegations and members of the Armed Forces.
Among the main highlights was the Tactical Cruise Missile (MTC), capable of striking targets 300 kilometres away. Powered by a turbine and capable of reaching a cruising speed of 870 km/h, the missile carries a 200 kg warhead. Its trajectory is controlled throughout the flight and is guided by inertial and GPS systems. The mobility provided by the ASTROS System vehicles, which transport the launch platforms, enhances operational flexibility.
The ASTROS System vehicles, manufactured by Avibras Aeroco and currently in service with the Marine Corps (CFN), the Brazilian Army (EB) and the armed forces of various other countries, were deployed during the exercise.
Avibras Aeroco would like to thank the organisers of Operation Formosa 2026, the authorities, the military and all the professionals involved for the opportunity to take part in the exhibition and for the warm welcome we received during the event.
